A 17-year-old male accused of murder in connection with a house fire in Canoe Narrows last week will remain in custody for the time being.
The teen appeared in court Tuesday in Patuanak and was remanded until Mar. 10.
RCMP discovered the body of James Derocher, 73, inside the burnt house the evening of Feb. 17.
After an autopsy showed Derocher’s death was not an accident, RCMP arrested and charged the teen with second-degree murder.
