Suspect charged in Cook Drive robbery

Charges have now been laid in connection with a robbery last week in Prince Albert.

Pouryia Asari, 20, is facing numerous weapons related offences and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Asari was scheduled in Prince Albert Provincial Court today at 10 a.m.

The robbery happened last Thursday evening in the 900 block of Cook Drive, said police.

A man with a firearm approached a parked vehicle and stole cash and a cell phone from the vehicles’ occupant.

The suspect was located several hours later and officers preformed a high risk vehicle stop where he was arrested without incident.
