Fire rips through Regina performing arts studio
Regina firefighters battled through smoke, fire and seriously cold temperatures Monday morning at a fire in the Warehouse District.
Regina police and the fire department responded to the call at 2300 7th Avenue at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Lorne Street just after 7:30 a.m.
“Regarding a transformer that may have caught on fire. Apparently sparks from this transformer landed on the roof of a building which then caught on fire,” said Staff Sgt. Ron Weir with police.
Temperatures at the time hung around -26 C with wind chill values around -39 C.
