Family Day in the City of Prince Albert

Feb 21, 2011 | 11:12 AM

Visit the City of Prince Albert website www.citypa.ca regularly for updated information
about new programs and activities available at our sport, cultural and recreational facilities.

The third Monday of February is recognized in Saskatchewan as Family Day. The
third Monday of February is also Canada’s National Heritage Day, a perfect
opportunity for families to explore and conserve one’s heritage. A few ideas for
an exciting Family Day starts with outdoor fun at Little Red River Park.  Strap on
some cross country ski’s, go tobogganing or have lunch at an outdoor barbeque
pit.  Stop by the Alfred Jenkins Field House or the Prince Albert Arts Centre
between 1:00 to 4:00 PM and attend any of their free family programs. Check
out the free activities planned at the Margo Fournier Center starting at 9:30 in
the morning or go ice skating at the Dave G. Steuart Arena from 2:00 – 3:30 PM.
Not only are all these activities free for families to attend but a great way to
try out some new activities that you may not have done before or in a while.
Keep active everyone, for the fun of it today and healthier tomorrow.
