Visitor restrictions removed for Herb Bassett Home

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region has lifted the visitor restrictions at the Herb Bassett Home’s Golden Hill unit following an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness earlier this month.

Visiting will continue to be limited for the pediatric unit at Victoria Hospital, as there continues to be patients in that unit showing symptoms of a gastrointestinal illness.

The provincial laboratory confirmed that samples from the two locations came back positive for norovirus.

The region is isolating the individuals who are showing symptoms.

Visitors are asked to reschedule their visits, if possible, until the outbreak is declared over.
