Bill MacDermott joins Saskatchewan Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have hired Bill MacDermott as running backs coach.

MacDermott was the head coach of the PFC’s Edmonton Huskies last season. MacDermott spent nine seasons as an assistant with the Edmonton Eskimos and in 2008 he served as the offensive line coach of the Toronto Argos.

MacDermott will join Doug Berry, Bob Dyce and Alex Smith who will return next season.

Jim Daley, Nelson Martin and Tom Freeman will not be returning to the team’s coaching staff for 2011.
