RCMP catch up to alleged thieves

Two men have been arrested in connection with a string of break and enters in the Lakeland area, according RCMP.

According to a news release, Mounties responded to a residential break in at Emma Lake last Saturday.

Their investigation led them to the Little Red First Nation where two men were arrested.

Thomas Patrick Ratt, 21, and Richard Abraham Ratt, 25, both from that reserve are facing charges of break and enter, theft and possession of stolen property.

RCMP said the charges relate to three more break and enters over the same weekend.

The stolen items recovered in the investigation were electronics and liquor.

Both men appeared in court on Tuesday and were remanded in custody until Friday.
