Curtis Dagenais files appeal
Curtis Dagenais filed an appeal after being convicted and given a life sentence for two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder in 2009.
Now, Dagenais finally has a lawyer — Prince Albert’s Peter Abrametz Junior.
The Court of Appeal has asked Abrametz to have a defence argument in by May 2. The crown needs an argument in by Aug. 2.
Dagenais was found guilty in the shooting deaths of RCMP constables Robin Cameron and Marc Bourdages near Mildred, Saskatchewan in July 2006. He was also found guilty for shooting constable Michelle Knopp.
