Kasten Rabbitskin’s family is relieved.

The 11-year-old was missing for two days. He walked through the door of his at around 1:30 p.m. today.

Marcel Rabbitskin, Kasten’s uncle, said seeing the boy was great.

“It’s like it got brighter and happier,” he said explaining the past two days were spent wondering where the boy was and what he was doing.

Marcel said they still don’t have all the answers. They don’t know exactly where Kasten was.

“I think his uncle took him without telling anybody. I think that’s what happened, but I am not too sure,” Marcel said.

Kasten went missing Friday. He didn’t come home afterschool. Marcel said, at first they assumed he went to a friend’s house, but when it started to get dark they called police.

Marcel said he has no words to explain how terrible it felt when Kasten was missing.

Kasten’s mother died two years ago. His grandmother is his main caretaker, but Marcel plays a big role in the boy’s life. He occasionally stays with his uncle.

Marcel said they were out all say Saturday and almost all night looking for him.

“We didn’t leave Prince Albert yet. We were all over – east, west, up the hill, down the hill – we were about to leave for Little Red to go to look too.”

He said he couldn’t sleep all night.

“The cops told us that the worst thing that can happen is he is dead somewhere,” he said.

Marcel called the last two days “the freakiest thing to happen in a long time.”

Now, the family is just glad Kasten is home.

The 11-year-old was already playing video games within an hour of coming back.
