Weather Information from W.J. Berezowsky School

Jan 10, 2011 | 1:48 PM

 1. Weather Policy: Several families have phoned regarding our weather policy. We keep
students indoors when temperatures (which include wind chill) reach minus 30° C. All
doors to the school are open for students to enter on cold days; otherwise students stay
outside until our first bell at 8:55 a.m. (unless otherwise scheduled for early morning
homework or sports practices).

Students are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather, and to go straight home at
the end of their school day. Students that are staying after 3:15 p.m. for Homework Club,
After-School Program or extra curricular activities should let their families know.

 2. Please label outer clothing and boots.

3. WJB gratefully accepts donations of mitts, toques, scarves and ski pants. Thank
you!

*Please note* When it is -30° C or colder – students DO NOT go out for recess.
*City Schools do not close unless direction is given by the Director of Education.
*If your child will not be in school (even on very cold days) – the school must be advised.
