Mobile Crisis worked throughout holidays

Prince Albert Mobile Crisis Unit wrapped up another successful Christmas season.

The unit experiences an influx of need over the holidays when other agencies close down.

“We do get somewhat busier, just because the other agencies are closed,” said Al Reis, the executive director.

Along with assisting those who experience feelings of loneliness and depression over the holiday season, Mobile Crisis assists people who need food and accommodation.

According to Reis most people have a place to go over the holidays, but those that needed help with housing this year, were able to access beds at the YWCA facilities.

Although Mobile Crisis does experience a greater number of calls during the holiday season, Christmas day is relatively quiet.
