Brad Wall looks back at 2010

Jan 2, 2011 | 7:44 AM

Premier Brad Wall is ending the year with the highest of accolades.

CTV named him politician of 2010 and he was BNN's newsmaker of the year.

It was because of his handling of the potential takeover of PotashCorp which made headlines around the world.

“We just tried to know this deal from every angle, from every nuance, from every potential impact on this province before we came to our decision,” he said.

But, he insists there has been plenty to keep his feet on the ground like the rural doctor shortage, the summer of storms and the issues with child welfare.

“You can think of some things you wish you would have done a little bit better,” he said.

He is hoping to take a new approach.

“The definition of insanity being doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, we need to do some things differently.”

Expect some financial announcements to reducing surgical wait times in the coming months.
