Parkland Ambulance is starting off 2011 very much the same as they ended of 2010.

Paramedics are very busy responding to calls.

Over New Year's Eve Paramedics responded to several motor vehicle collisions with no injuries and many other medical related calls.

With slippery road conditions and cold weather, travelers are reminded to drive with caution and be prepared for the weather.

There were several cold related incidents handle by paramedics overnight.

They also had a significant number of assault calls.

One specific call this morning at the Wahpeton Reserve had paramedics treating a man for serious injuries at about eight o'clock this morning.

The man is now in Victoria Hospital in good and stable condition.

It is unknown whether any charges have yet been laid.
