No texting or calling service for 3G+ network

SaskTel is dealing with a massive outage, affecting nearly 40,000 cell phones.

Darcee McFarlane with SaskTel said it's only affecting the call and texting service of customers on their 3G+ network.

“That's one of our cellular networks.  We have two,” said McFarlane.

She said the majority of their cell phone customers use their CDMA netwok, which is working just fine.

In a press release, SaskTel said it is working hard to resolve the issue, and does not know at this time the cause of the outage.
