Tobin Lake woman dies in snowmobile crash

A Tobin Lake woman has lost her life in a snowmobile accident near the community of Whitefox, which is about 130 kilometres northeast of Prince Albert.
RCMP said Tuesday, that on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. mounties responded to a report of a snowmobile collision which occurred 1 1/2 kilometres south of the community.
A woman, 40, was thrown from her sled when it became airborne after crossing a grid road. She was taken to Nipawin hospital for treatment of her injuries. The following morning, while in medical care at the hospital, the 40 year old female was pronounced deceased.
There were no passengers on her sled and two other individuals were traveling with her on separate sleds when the collision occurred. The operator was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Nipawin RCMP are still investigating the crash.
