Fatal highway crash near Spiritwood

A 21-year-old woman has died from injuries suffered in a head-on collision in the Spiritwood area.

RCMP were dispatched at 2 p.m. Tuesday to the accident scene, where a car and truck had collided.

The jaws of life were used to free five people from wreckage, all of whom were sent to hospital, including the 21-year-old female.

Wednesday morning RCMP said the woman had died from her injuries in Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

RCMP said weather conditions were suspected to have played a factor in the collision, however the investigation in continuing.
