The aftermath of the summer of storms continues to be felt long after the clean-up work began.

Applications to the provincial disaster assistance program are still being received six months after the worst of the flooding.

Over 4000 applications to Provincial Disaster Assistance Program have been received so far and more are coming in on a weekly basis.

Tom Young, spokesperson for the PDAP says with mould and other structural issues only just being found by homeowners, he thinks applications could still come in in the spring.

Over $10 million has already been paid out through the disaster assistance program.

The PDAP varies between municipalities. In Prince Albert, residents can apply for two iterations of the program—one from rain throughout the season and another specifically for the plough wind in June.

The deadline in the city to apply for those events is Dec. 30.
