Grey Cup preparations in PA

The Grey Cup is almost here and Rider fans are getting ready to cheer on their team in the biggest game of the year.

“I’m pleasantly surprised. I didn’t actually think they would be there,” said Mike Rellend, while picking out some Rider gear to wear for the game.

“I went to the game live last year in Calgary. So, it was a bitter disappointment at the end, the way the game ended and how we lost the game. So this year I’m hoping they can win it all,” said Ian Harnett, another Rider fan.

A big part of being a Rider fan is to get decked out in green and white. At Giant Tiger, people were snatching up Rider gear to look their Sunday best.

“Especially since they’ve won the western division, now going to Grey Cup, sales have been phenomenal,” said Jean Cheney with Giant Tiger.

Meanwhile, at Boston Pizza, plans are in place to make sure it's a festive time for those coming out to watch the game.

“The plan for Grey Cup is to have a big party. We’ve got lots of prizes going out for best dressed and loudest fan. We’re going to be showing the game, green beer, drink specials and a good time,” said

Alan Greene, general manager of Boston Pizza.

It seems everyone is predicting a different outcome than last year's final.

“They’re (the Riders) are going to win. No doubt about it,” said Joan Waditaka.

“Saskatchewan by six points,” said Harnett.
