Union suggests mediator

There is some movement in the labour dispute between SIAST and its unionized teachers.

The Saskatchewan Government Employees Union has delivered a letter to management with the names of two out-of-province mediators to consider.

Management says it wants some time to look into the suggestion.

Earlier this month the teachers served strike notice and management responded with a lockout notice, although so far classes have not yet been affected.
