Seeing green — sick kids get chance to see Riders

Nov 25, 2010 | 5:57 AM

There are 13 sick kids getting the chance to see the Riders in the Grey Cup, this weekend — thanks to the memory of one super fan that's no longer with us.

Back in 2007 a groundswell of support from around the province sent Chris Knox — a man diagnosed with terminal cancer — and ten sick kids to see the championship game. Now the charitable foundation that was created in his memory is continuing that legacy.

Erin Ball's 10 year-old son Reyce is one of those kids who is going. He has a rare form of leukemia, which caused him a lot of problems since he was diagnosed last year.

He's doing well right now and he's all smiles thinking of the trip, said Ball.
