A storm system, with the potential to create blizzard-like conditions, is bearing down on the southwest corner of Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada says the rain and freezing rain will start early Tuesday. The rain will be followed by snow and howling winds.

The Cypress Hills and Maple Creek areas will be among the hardest hit with up to 25 centimeters of snow expected to fall by Tuesday night.
