Water advisory to be lifted

Starting Monday people living in Canwood should be able to start drinking their tap water again.

Last Tuesday, a boil water advisory went into effect in the community — asking people to boil their water before drinking it.

There was maintenance underway the local water treatment plant.

The drinking water advisory was issued by the Ministry of Environment, with the Village of Canwood.

A person at the Village Office told paNOW that they hope to lift the advisory Monday, after test results come in.

Water that is used for laundry is safe to use from the tap.
