SIAST strike looms closer

At midnight Friday, nearly 2,000 SIAST employees in Saskatchewan could be in a position to go on strike.
The union representing instructors and support staff at the college gave 48-hour strike notice Wednesday, after talks broke off.
The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union has asked that a mediator be appointed to get the two sides back to bargaining.
700 services staff and 1,300 instructors have been without a contract for 16 months.
