Saskatchewan First Nation signs potash deal

The preliminary work has been completed towards the development of the first potash mine on a Saskatchewan First Nation.

The agreement between Encanto Potash Corporation and Muskowekwan Resources Limited, paves the way for the development of a potash mine on the Muskowekwan First Nation.

The agreement is designed to help generate revenue, employment, and business opportunities for the band.

“Creating revenue on First Nations and reducing our reliance on government funding is the key to future health for our people,” said Chief Reginald Bellerose.
