Harvest wraps up
Harvest is winding down across Saskatchewan.
Almost the entire 2010 crop is in the bin according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's weekly crop report.
Ninety-nine per cent is combined province wide which is well ahead of last year's pace when 79 per cent of the crop had been harvested.
“It's in spite of the challenging situation and where we were a month ago. I think producers are certainly glad to see the end of this harvesting season,” said Grant McLean, a crop specialist with the province.
Farmers in the north east planted fewer acres this year because of washed out fields, from too much rain.
