Moose Jaw Police after a man crashed his van into the Moose Jaw River Friday afternoon.
At about 3:10 p.m., the man was driving on the Manitoba Expressway when he veered off the road and plunged into the neighbouring river.
Rescuers were able to pull the 50-year-old from his submerged van. He was taken to Moose Jaw Union Hospital, but later died.
Sgt. Terry Phillips with police says they are still working on finding answers.
“The investigation is ongoing, we don't know what caused the accident at this point,” he said.
No one else was in the car at the time.
