Saskatchewan shoppers spend more

The cash registers are ringing louder than a year ago in Saskatchewan.
According to Statistics Canada, retail sales for August increased 2.3 per cent from one year earlier.
The improvement was even bigger across Canada, with an average 3.5 per cent increase.
Statistics Canada said, retailers saw sales 1.4 per cent higher than in July in Saskatchewan, which beat the Canadian increase of 0.5 per cent.
