Boil water advisory in effect near St. Mary

St. Mary High School and some surrounding streets are under a boil water advisory.

The city says residents on 4th Avenue West from 14th Street to River Street and on 12 Street West between 4th and 5th Avenue should boil water before consuming it.

A water main break, which was responsible for cancelling two days of classes required a major replacement by the city.

Prince Albert operations manager Alain Trudel said the province required independant water quality tests when repairs occur.
