A Prince Albert man is still looking for a kid he said he believes saved his life.

Dave Broderick was driving back to the city from Big River when a coughing fit forced him to pull off the road.

He lost control in the soft shoulder and ended up in the Shell River.

“This young fella on the side, who I don’t know, was on the river back, kept yelling, 'Jump. I’ll save you. Jump. I’ll save you.' So I jumped in the water not being able to swim very good, it wasn’t that far, maybe 10 feet or 12 feet, but the current was pretty strong. So this kid held out his hand and as I went by he grabbed me,” he said.

In the confusion Broderick said he never was able to thank the kid and is still looking to meet his rescuer.
