More people hit by cars

Parkland Ambulance in Prince Albert is noticing an alarming trend.

Over the past few weeks there has been an increase in the number of people getting hit by vehicles.
“We are seeing an average of two to three of them a week,” said Lyle Karasiuk, director of public affairs.

The trend started about three weeks ago, he said.

The latest incident happened Monday night just east of the city on Highway 55. A person who was walking along the highway was struck and now is in a Saskatoon hospital in critical condition.
