Heavy rainfall at the end of July has left many Melfort property owners with a bit of a mess to clean up.

According to Melfort City Clerk Heather Audette, it rained steadily between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 28.

A storm that passed through Prince Albert Wednesday afternoon left debris behind.

Trees and branches were left scattered down 11th St. near 4th Ave. E.

A resident of the area said the street was nearly impassable after the storm moved on.

Rainfall warnings issued for parts of south, central Sask.

From drought to drenched.

Environment Canada issued a heavy rainfall warning for Saskatoon and areas north and east overnight.

"Rainfall criteria is 50 millimitres and Saskatoon is going to be right on the borderline," Mike McDonald, meteorologist with Environment Canada, said.
