Riders pick up the win in Montreal

Johnny Manziel finally got his first CFL touchdown, but the quarterback wants to start winning football games.

Manziel threw two touchdowns in a losing effort as the surging Saskatchewan Roughriders beat the Montreal Alouettes 34-29 on Sunday afternoon.

Bagg provides Collaros a helping hand with Rider rookies

After practice on the day Rob Bagg returned to the Roughriders, he sat down at the centre of the field for a chat with quarterback Zach Collaros.

The two CFL veterans had never played before but had always had a mutual admiration for one another.

Crezdon Butler returns to line up against Argos

After starting for half the season then sitting for four, defensive back Crezdon Butler returns to the lineup on Saturday.

For the first time as a Rider, he’ll fill in at safety with Matt Elam out with an injured hamstring.

‘Sky’s not falling:’ Riders working on offensive struggles

After Saturday’s game, offensive lineman Thaddeus Coleman said he wanted to practice red zone offence nonstop until the team figured it out.

Quite simply, he was sick of not scoring touchdowns.

Fresh off a fourth victory in a row this weekend, the Saskatchewan Roughriders spent Monday earning a win off the field.

Riders’ Johnson supports teammates even from the sidelines

Even when it’s from the bench Jovon Johnson gives the Roughriders his all.

The 12-year CFL veteran has found himself on the sidelines of the last two Roughriders games as head coach Chris Jones opted to rest some of his older defensive backs and try out other players in their place.
