Mike grew up in rural Saskatchewan completing school in Paddockwood and Red Wing.  After graduating, he spent a year in Toronto attending an electronics course.  He moved back to Saskatoon as a travelling salesman with RCA.  He met his beloved wife of 53 years on a blind date in North Battleford.  Two children come into their lives when they lived in Regina for eight years.  They finally settled in Prince Albert in 1974 where their second daughter was born.  Mike worked in landscaping and construction before becoming the proud owner and operator of “The Drapery Difference” for 28 years, creating beauty one window at a time.

The outdoors always called to him. Water skiing and camping with family and friends. Fishing and golf were passions of his. He loved travelling with his wife and family to California and spending winters in Yuma, Arizona.  Most importantly, he enjoyed teaching others about the bible and the future hope for the earth.  The joy he found in his faith despite his health problems was evident to all who met him.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (4350 2nd Avenue West, Prince Albert) at 2:00pm on January 13, 2018.  Luncheon will follow at Nordale Community Hall (1306 - 6 Avenue NW, Prince Albert).  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Diabetes Canada - North Saskatchewan Regional Leadership Centre, 104-2301 Avenue C North, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5Z5.
