Cam Broten resigns as leader of Sask NDP

Cam Broten announced Monday that he is stepping down as leader of the Saskatchewan NDP

​In a statement made to media at a playground in his neighbourhood in Saskatoon, Broten acknowledged that the party didn't achieve the results he had hoped for in the provincial election.

Bail granted for girlfriend of Troy Napope's accused murderer

The girlfriend of the man accused of murdering Troy Napope in 2015 has been granted bail and is set to be released Monday, April 11.

Tristen Smith appeared and cried quietly in Prince Albert Provincial Court by video. A publication ban has been placed on the conditions of her bail.

First Nation prepares for historic 1886 Rebellion compensation ruling

The Beardy's and Okemasis First Nation will soon know how much money the federal government owes them for wrongfully labeling the band rebels and denying them funding following the 1885 Northeast Rebellion.
