Home Stays Needed for Japanese Students

A group of female Japanese high school students will be coming to Prince Albert to improve their oral English skills and to learn about Canadian cultures.

On weekdays they will attend classes at St. Mary High School. There will be a couple of evening activities that will include host families such as a bowling night.

Students will arrive on March 21 and leave on April 3, 2019

Host families are required to:

  • Provide a bedroom
  • Provide for three meals a day
  • Include the student as a family member
  • Engage in conversation as much as reasonably possible
  • Speak only English when the student is in the home
  • Arrange for the student to get to and from St. Mary HS on school days
  • Have two or more related people living in the home at the time of hosting
