Dec 23, 2010 | 9:56 AM

Prince Albert Multicultural Council’s Annual Christmas Party

Over 150 people gathered at the Prince Albert Multicultural Centre to celebrate the 2010 Christmas party.

There were immigrants, refugees and born Canadians present.

We were pleased to have people from 21 places in the world participate.

Grace was said in the language of their countries.

Santa arrived at 7:30 p.m and distributed gifts to 62 children. These were the first Christmas gifts that some of the children ever received.

His worship Mayor Jim Scarrow served as host and as usual did a spectacular job assisted by his wife Helen and PAMC Board  member Mary Pronych.

Yussaf Mohamed Warsame, a Muslem from Somalia had a big part in organizing the event.

It was great to witness people from many countries and religious beliefs celebrate under one roof a true celebration of multiculturalism.

Everybody enjoyed the evening, saying that they are looking forward to more events.
