Embodied Presence: Michel Boutin and Holly Fay at John V. Hicks Gallery, PA Arts Centre

Jan 9, 2013 | 1:28 PM

January 1st to January 23 2013, the J.V. Hicks Gallery presents Embodied Presence, showing the work of two established, contemporary Saskatchewan artists.

French Canadien Métis artist Michel Boutin presents an indigenous voice and perspective, through overlaying symbols, sigils and markings over abstracted landscape imagery.

Holly Fays work does not represent nature as traditionally observed, using biomorphic shapes and abstracted imagery to draw parallels between plant and human forms, reflecting on how both impact the natural environment.
