Best East Indian Cuisine: The Spice Trail

Sep 16, 2015 | 2:59 PM

If it’s a fresh culinary experience and authentic East Indian food that you desire, then The Spice Trail is the best place to go in Prince Albert.

The mix of unique ingredients and intoxicating aromas that visitors experience when they visit The Spice Trail for the first time is more often than not a revelation.

The Spice Trail only opened a few months ago but already it has developed a reputation for being the best new place to visit in Prince Albert if you want to enjoy a great and flavourful meal.

“The Spice Trail is the first East Indian restaurant to open in Prince Albert,” said Harry Rai, owner and head chef.

“Everything is made from scratch and everything we serve is prepared here, right from the preparation to the final product, it is all done here. Nothing is microwaved or pre-battered and then just fried and served.

“It’s all authentic,” he added.

The Spice Trail offers East Indian breads that are baked fresh to order in the Tandoor, a traditional clay oven.

They’re open every day for lunch and dinner, and their daily buffet is guaranteed to delight your senses with their enticing symphony in spice that is carefully prepared in each dish.

“We offer different types of ingredients…spices and… styles of cooking each day, said Rai.

“It’s fresh, it’s new to Prince Albert and it’s real food,” he added.
