Habitat for Humanity turns over keys to 26th home in Prince Albert

They’ve been in Prince Albert for two years but now, a family from Myanmar can officially call Prince Albert home.

Lu Paw, her husband and two children received the keys to their home – a four bedroom bungalow on 19th St. E. during a special dedication ceremony on Wednesday.

School division working out kinks on long bus rides

Changes were supposed to yield efficiencies when they were made to school bus routes in the Christopher Lake area, but frustrated parents said the opposite has happened.

Toy truck turns heads

He’s not exactly sure why he did it, but Prince Albert resident Elwood Armstrong turned his Dodge into one giant toy truck.

“People ask me all the time why I did it and I couldn’t figure it out. I just wanted to do it,” he said.

The new Protection and Response team, or PRT, to reduce crime in rural Saskatchewan will mean the addition of four new positions within the Prince Albert police service.

Historic business to close doors on Central Avenue

For eight decades, the Adams family has run a store on Central Avenue in downtown Prince Albert.

“After 81 years, the time has come for us to move on,” said Lana Adams, co-owner of Adam’s Celebration by Design.

The store will officially close its doors at the end of the month.
