Local police officers responded to 291 calls for service, including a structure fire Friday afternoon in the 500 Block of 28th St. E. In a release, police said significant damaged was found in the stairwell of the unit. No arrests were made and investigators continue to look into the incident.

Police were also called to a robbery with violence around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. Police were called to the Victoria Hospital for a report of a male with stab wounds. Police say the man was in the Unit Block of 13th St. E. when he was approached by two men wearing black and white.
