Driver charged, pedestrian injured in MVA

Prince Albert Police have charged one person after a pedestrian was hit while crossing the street at the intersection of 15th Street and Sixth Avenue East Wednesday night. 

Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. Both the pedestrian and the driver of the vehicle were found to be intoxicated at the time. The driver was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and exceeding .08, before being released. The driver is scheduled to be in court Feb. 26. 

Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital for observation, but did not suffer any significant injuries.
