Mintos rally in victory over the shooting Stars

After finding themselves down 3-0 early in the second period to the Battlefords Stars, the Prince Albert Mintos went on a six-goal run to skate away with an 8-6 victory on Thursday at the Art Hauser Centre.

Gabe Klassen had a career best five-point night for the Mintos with two goals and three assists. Andrew Schaab had a pair of goals in the victory. Cohner Saleski had a goal and an assist while Chase Bertholet, Logan Cox and Jake Huska also scored for the Mintos.

Shayde Peterson scored a pair of goals for the Stars, while Luke Fennig, Carson Dobson, Josh Groenwold and Prince Albert Raider prospect Eric Robbie also scored.

The Mintos are on the road for five straight games, Jan. 13 against the Tisdale Trojans, Jan. 15 against the Saskatoon Contacts, Jan. 19 against the Notre Dame Argos, Jan. 20 against the Notre Dame Hounds and Jan. 31 against the Beardy’s Blackhawks. The Mintos won’t be back at the Art Hauser Centre until Feb. 2 to battle against the Argos.
