Raiders add goalie, defenceman in trades
A busy day continues for the Prince Albert Raiders as they’ve added a defenceman and a goaltender to the lineup.
After the addition of forward Bryce Bader from the Calgary Hitmen this morning, the Raiders made two more moves, adding defenceman Loeden Schaufler from the Seattle Thunderbirds and goaltender Boston Bilous from the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Schaufler, a 2000-born defender, was acquired from Seattle in exchange for an eighth-round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
From Dewinton, AB, Schaufler made the jump to the WHL on a full-time basis last season, appearing in 32 games with the ICE and producing six points from the back end. This year, the defender was moved to Seattle on Oct. 8, taking part in 20 games with the Thunderbirds and picking up two assists.
