Bears bronze at Mandi Schwartz Tourney, Mintos split weekend

The Prince Albert Northern Bears finished third at the Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament this weekend in Wilcox in female Midget AAA action.
The Bears beat the Regina Rebels 7-2 in the bronze medal game Sunday afternoon for the third place finish. The only loss of Bears’ weekend was in the semifinals, a 5-4 defeat to the hosting Notre Dame Hounds.
On the Midget AAA boys side, the Prince Albert Mintos split their southern Saskatchewan trip. After falling 4-1 to the Regina Pat Canadians on Saturday, the Mintos responded with a 6-0 win over the Moose Jaw Generals. The Mintos are now 12-12-0-1 on the season.
