PAPS seize weapon and ammunition from stolen vehicle

Police seized a rifle and ammunition from a vehicle in Prince Albert early Tuesday morning.

A Prince Albert Police Service patrol unit spotted a stolen vehicle in an alley between the 800 block of 15 Ave. E. and McCraney Crescent heading northbound with no taillights.

According to a media release, a traffic stop was conducted and the female driver was subsequently arrested.

The 27-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with possession of stolen property (a motor vehicle) exceeding $5,000 and four charges of possession of a firearm.

The suspect is expected to make her first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Tuesday.
