The body of Travis MacDonald was located early Sunday afternoon, according to Prince Albert RCMP.

The 24-year-old man from Stony Rapids had been missing more than six days, prior to his body being found around 2:30p.m. by a search group organized in conjunction with MacDonald’s family.  The RCMP said their investigation is ongoing and no further details would be released at this time.

Multiple agencies have been involved in the search effort including RCMP, Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers (SARSAV), and the Prince Albert Grand Council Search and Rescue Management Unit. A spokesperson for Prince Albert Grand Council confirmed for paNOW, MacDonald’s body was found just off Township Road 474 in a farmer’s field, south of Prince Albert. The family held a prayer ceremony shortly afterward.
