Suspect arrested for murder

Police have arrested a man and charged him with the murder of Tyrell Bird.

Tyrone Nontell, 32, was arrested yesterday during a traffic stop on the 500 block of 32nd Street West. He is charged with second degree murder.

Bird was shot in the alleyway of the 200 block of Ninth St. E. on June 28. He remained in hospital on life support until July 2 when he succumbed to his injuries.

Nontell will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Oct. 19.
