P.A. residents pack Princess Auto

Sep 18, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Prince Albert’s newest retail store was popping on its opening day.

Princess Auto officially opened its doors on Sept. 18 and the parking lot was packed with eager residents, waiting to spend their hard earned dollars at the Gateway to the North’s newest auto, agriculture, industrial and surplus store.

Many people, like Barry Mihilewicz, are excited they won’t have to travel to visit Princess Auto.

“It’s great to have a Prince Auto in Prince Albert,” he said. “I have to stop there every time in Saskatoon, if I drive by there if I don’t stop I start to vibrate.”

People from all walks of life traversed the parking lot carrying bags and pushing carts packed to the brim with goods.

Brian Berscheid finished loading up his truck with new purchases and shared his thoughts with paNOW.

“Very nice, big store, lots of people, good turnout,” he said.

Will Bick, who was helping Berscheid load his truck, shared Berscheid’s sentiments about the new store. He too was happy to have a shop set up locally.

“[I’ve] gone to Princess Auto a lot in other towns, in Saskatoon and stuff like that, this is definitely a lot closer, so we’ll definitely be spending a lot more time here,” he said.
