Red carpet set for BOB Awards

Sep 12, 2018 | 12:00 PM

One of the special occasions on the Prince Albert calendar takes place tonight.

The 2018 paNOW’s BOB Awards: The Best of The Best — happen at the Art Hauser Centre.

The event is a major celebration of success for small and big companies.

“From the smallest business which employs perhaps just one of two people, to the biggest like the casino, they are all celebrated tonight,” Joe Bexson, paNOW’s senior sales consultant said. “These businesses, organizations and individuals really are the best of the best.”

The annual event has become a mainstay on the business and social scene, with people gathering to share their success and to get their hands on the coveted BOB Award certificates that are displayed proudly around the city by previous winners.

“Once the recipients are presented with their certificates, they walk the red carpet as they’re announced to the crowd at tonight’s gala event,” Bexson said. “The winners really do rise to the occasion by getting dressed to the nines and embracing the whole glamour and spirit of things.”

One of the eagerly awaited A-list celebrity winners tonight will be Daxa, the PAPS police dog, who’ll become the first non-human to strut the famous BOB Award red carpet as P.A.’s Best Police Officer.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. in the Ches Leach lounge.
