Raiders trim roster over weekend

Sep 10, 2018 | 11:54 AM

The Prince Albert Raiders will carry a 26-man roster into the final week of pre-season after announcing the reassignment of forward Cohner Saleski and defenceman Braydon Clark.

Saleski, the Raiders’ 17th-overall draft pick from the 2017 bantam draft, will join the Prince Albert Mintos of the SMHL this season after skating with the Saskatoon Contacts in the same league a year ago. The Saskatoon native had 15 points in 24 games last year.

Clark was taken two rounds later, 47th overall, in the same draft as Saleski and will now join the Valley West Hawks of the BC Major Midget League. Clark was a part of the Hawks last year, picking up five points in 21 games.

With these two transactions, Prince Albert now has four goaltenders, eight defencemen, and 14 forwards on the current roster.
